Management

		Andrew Mowbray (Co-Director) Professor of Law and Associate Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Technology, Sydney Email: andrew@austlii.edu.au Home Page: http://www2.austlii.edu.au/~andrew/. (Co-Director since January 1995) Andrew is the principal software author and technical director of AustLII. He has degrees in Computing Science and Law. He wrote the sino search engine, the hypertext markup software, and the ysh inferencing engine. Pre-AustLII, Andrew wrote the DataLex Workstation Software, the AIRS free text retrieval engine and the LES legal expert system shell. He teaches and publishes in computerised legal research, computerisation of law and information technology law.
		Graham Greenleaf (Co-Director) Professor of Law, University of New South Wales Email: graham@austlii.edu.au Home Page: http://www2.austlii.edu.au/~graham/. (Co-Director since January 1995) Graham has joint responsibility for the overall development and direction of AustLII and WorldLII. He has general responsibility for AustLII's funding, obtaining new data sources, and the World Law / Project DIAL facilities. He has degrees in Arts and Law, and is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society. He has researched and taught in the areas of intellectual property, privacy, cyberspace law and computerisation of law since 1982.
		Philip Chung (Executive Director) Lecturer in Law, UTS Email: philip@austlii.edu.au Home Page: http://www2.austlii.edu.au/~Philip/ (Appointed 26 February 1996; Executive Director since 1999) Philip is a graduate in Economics and Law from the University of Sydney, with a major in Computer Science. Philip manages the staff and resources of AustLII and jointly oversees the technical development of AustLII's projects and system administration. In addition to his responsibilities as AustLII's Executive Director Philip manages our primary legal materials, and has developed all of our facilities to automate the receipt and processing of cases and other materials. Philip lectures in computerised legal research at UTS. He is experienced in large scale legal publishing on the Internet, computerised legal research, computer legal applications and automated text processing.

Staff

		Catherine Quigley (Administrator) Email: cathy@austlii.edu.au (Appointed 12 January 1998) Cathy is responsible for keeping everyone organised and making sure that the finances and administration of AustLII are in good working order. Her duties include budget preparation and monitoring; maintaining office accounts; office administration; liaising with UTS faculties; handling enquiries and assisting with promotional activities
		Madeleine Davis (Project Officer, World Law / DIAL) Email: mdavis@austlii.edu.au (Appointed 14 December 1998) Madeleine has a BA Hons (Flinders University of South Australia) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Publishing and Editing (Macquarie University ). She is a qualified editor and indexer specialising in legal indexing including loose-leaf services, academic law books, legal journals, and manuals. She currently works full-time on AustLII's World Law / DIAL project and lectures in computerised legal research at UTS.
		Takao Hasuike (Project Officer, World Law / DIAL) Email: takao@austlii.edu.au (Appointed 10 April 2000) Takao obtained his law degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He has been previously involved in the World Bank-sponsored Venezuelan Supreme Court Modernisation Project. He currently works on AustLII's World Law / DIAL project dealing also with legal resources in Spanish.
		Joseph Kwok (Project Officer, Primary Materials) Email: joseph@austlii.edu.au (Appointed 5 January 1998) Joseph holds computer science and law degrees from UTS. He works on our primary legal materials, particularly on industrial law materials, NSW legislation and Victorian legislation. His duties include converting the data received by AustLII into the format displayed on our web site and liaising with data providers to ensure a smooth flow of data. He also assists with the treaties database.
		Armin Wittfoth (Project Officer, Primary Materials) Email: armin@austlii.edu.au (Appointed 26 March 2001) Armin has degrees in Science, Arts and Laws from Sydney University.  He was also awarded Diploma in Mainframe Programming by a joint venture of TAFE and IBM. Armin is currently working on AustLII's primary legal materials, as well as on AustLII's project to automate improvements to the authority and interactivity of primary legal materials. His also duties include converting data for publication on the Internet, maintaining and updating databases of primary legal materials including the NSW, Queensland and Northern Territory legislation databases.
		Jones Olatunji (System Administrator) Email: jones@austlii.edu.au (Appointed 4 December 2001) Jones is a graduate of Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is currently studying for a Masters degree in Information and Communication Technology at the University of Wollongong. Jones is, with Philip Chung, jointly responsible for AustLII's system administration. His duties include administering servers running email, web pages, databases, firewalls and other applications; configuration, optimisation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software; backup and recovery of data; and site security .
		Jill Matthews (Project Officer, World Law / DIAL) Email: jill@austlii.edu.au Jill has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Sydney. She is a legal indexer and editor as well as the principal of HiTech Editing Pty Ltd. She specialises in indexing legal periodicals and Internet legal research. She currently works part-time on the World Law / DIAL project.
