AustLII's new view options
4 April 2005
This document outlines features of AustLII’s new view options
for displaying search results.
These
features are being demonstrated and tested at http://beta.austlii.edu.au. We expect that
they will become part of the standard AustLII facilities and interface during
2005.
We invite feedback on these new features, particularly while we are testing
them. Please send any comments to austlii2005@austlii.edu.au, and
they will be circulated to AustLII staff.
View options
- By Database Instead of
viewing search results by relevance ranked order of all results, results can
instead be grouped by database and displayed.
- By Date Instead of viewing search results by relevance ranked order, search results are displayed in reverse chronological order.
- By Relevance Displaying search results by relevance ranked order (default view option).
- Collapse Multi-sections Displaying search results by relevance ranked order with the addition feature of 'collapsing' results from the same document. This feature is useful when dealing with legislation. Where applicable, it shows the two highest ranked documents as well as the number of other sections in the same Act.
